Over 7,500 Thames Valley Young People to attend
Education Convention Over 7,500 young people from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire are set to attend the Higher Education Convention, which will be taking place over two days, on 17th and 18th March at the University of Reading. Organised and sponsored by Connexions Berkshire and in association with the University of Reading, Thames Valley University, UCAS and HELOA (Higher Education Liaison Officers Association), this is a major event in the school and college sixth-form calendar and will run from 10am to 4pm on both days.

Every year at result time it seems the same debate raises it head: are exams getting easier? Is it easier to score an A grade now than it was say 10 or 15 years ago? Whatever your view, there’s no arguing with the statistics: more than a quarter of this year’s A level students were awarded an A – the 25th year in succession that the pass rate has risen.
