Fairway to Green Qualifier at Donnington Grove
Donnington Grove will be hosting their Fairway To Green qualifier on 28th August – an opportunity to win a trip to play in The Ian Botham Charity Golf Tournament at The Ring Of Kerry in Ireland.
For an entry fee of £40 per person, golfers can enter the Fairway to Green competition at the stunning Donnington Grove Country Club on the outskirts of Newbury. The proze? The chance to play in the Ian Botham Charity Golf Tournament which will take place in September at the Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club in Templenoe, near Kenmare in County Kerry.
It’s the first time the annual event has been held in Ireland. The event will include a Gala Dinner at the Kenmare Bay Hotel on Tuesday, 26th September. Celebrities will provide the entertainment which will be followed by an auction all proceeds of which will go to Childrens Leukaemia.
The Donnington Grove Fairway to Green qualifier takes place on 28th August. The championship golf course at Donnington Grove was designed by Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas. The course was selected for the 2005 Challenge Tour English Open and has PGA approval as an European tour venue. Recently the course has been opened up for visitors, golf breaks and societies. The course itself is one of the finest in the UK, achieving a 4.5 Star rating from ‘Today’s Golfer’.
Donnington Grove cater for business functions such as conferences and seminars. They also accommodate celebration events such as birthday parties and weddings. There is an excellent restaurant offering a traditional menu and golfers will soon be enjoying even better facilities when the new clubhouse opens later this year.
