DLP Planning has been instructed by Urban Innovations, acting for McAleer & Rushe of Belfast, to assist with a detailed planning application for a 229 bedroom Jury’s Inn Hotel, bar, restaurant and 129 apartments at Fleming Way, Swindon. We have specifically been asked to assist with the s106 agreement, which the council is using to try and secure a considerable sum in contributions, plus 39 “affordable” dwellings. A financial appraisal has been prepared to demonstrate that the high level of financial contributions sought may affect the viability of the site. We have spoken to various Housing Associations to secure the best possible funding for the affordable housing element of the scheme.
