TNT sets the bar for environmental performance

TNT, is now the only express and logistics firm to qualify on a company-wide basis for the international quality standard known as ISO14001.

ISO14001 is designed to tackle the balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact.

TNT sets the bar for environmental performance

TNT offer a large range of services around the world: collecting, sorting, transporting and distributing a wide variety of items within specific timeframes.

The depot in Station Road, Theale, was awarded the accreditation by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, which performed inspections on every portion of the company’s environmental management policy, from cutting back on waste to pollution control.

Environmental impact is becoming an increasingly weighty concern across the globe, with pressure coming from a number of sources including local and national governments, customers, and employees.

Businesses are beginning to realise that good environmental performance can have encouraging results on their profits and reputations.

At least 50% of the top 250 UK companies now report their environmental performance in the understanding that it can strongly effect investment.
