GROW YOUR BUSINESS – GROW YOUR INCOME

 Enterprise Link is a Slough Borough Council (SBC) initiative headed by Community Business Adviser, Bobbi Johal. Enterprise Link is part of the Enterprise Group which in turn forms part of the Economic Development, Diversity & Equalities Team of SBC. Working in partnership with Creative Academy, Hub & Spoke, SEEDA, Enterprise Gateway, Business Link, we are committed to ensuring economic growth in the region.
A number of programmes are delivered by the Enterprise Link initiative:- Creative Business Sector Growth Enterprise Link has recently delivered the Creative Business Sector Growth Series, a programme of workshops geared to develop businesses in the creative sector in the Berkshire region. This was a year long programme and artists of all calibres and specialities attended the workshops that were delivered from July 2006 to June 2007. The workshops varied from sales & marketing planning, working with the media, intellectual property to the psychology of success. The series concluded with a celebratory finale in June where participants’ successes were highlighted and those that achieved the targeted increase in turnover of £15K plus over the year received ‘Achievers Awards’. A special award was given to Jon Davey of LiaseonLine Limited for his continued dedication and support to the creative businesses on this programme. Business Start-Up Support for Black Minority Ethnic (BME) Women Another key focus area for this initiative is to tap into the entrepreneurial spirit of Slough BME women. Enterprise Link provides practical support and guidance to these business start-ups and enables clients to prepare business plans, cash flows and, where appropriate, access to services for employment. Training Monthly Assertiveness Skills workshops, aiming particularly at women actively looking to return to work. These are one day workshops to build, boost and develop self-confidence. The emphasis is on raising self-esteem using interactive group exercises and practical support. Enterprise Group Enterprise Link is one of the projects that forms the Enterprise Group.
