Duchess visits Berkshire school
The Duchess of Cornwall has visited a school in Berkshire, on one of her many solo engagements since marrying Prince Charles, to give her support to charity work taking place at the educational institute.
High Close School in Wokingham received the royal visitor, who was there on behalf of Barnardo's - the children's charity that she is the new president of.
Barnardo's works with the High Close School to support pupils there with behavioural problems and who have been excluded from mainstream schooling.
The school educates 40 boarders aged 11 to 16 and also caters for 30 day pupils.
"I am extremely proud to be part of this fantastic organisation and wish everyone here well for the future," the Duchess said.
The Duchess of Cornwall married the Prince of Wales in another Berkshire location, the Guildhall, Windsor, on April 9th 2005, followed by a reception at Windsor Castle attended by members of the Royal family.
