Save Windsor Art Centre

Registered charity, Windsor Arts Centre in St Leonard's Road was suddenly closed until further notice on Friday. Not much information is available at the moment and it is hoped that WAC Management will be making further announcements this week.

With reports of financial difficulties, employees were sent home on Friday evening.

The Arts Centre is usually managed by a small group of permanent staff along with additional volunteers who assist in Stewarding, Box Office, Bar, House Management, Marketing & Publicity, and varied Admin Support.

Regular groups that normal use the centre include Windsor Photographic Society, Windsor Classical Guitar Society, No Handbags Theatre Unlimited and Drama in Action (drama and musical theatre for children).

The final act on Friday was a comedy show, starring Radio 2's Colin and Fergus.

To help encourage support and to supply information a website (www.savewindsorartscentre.org) has been launched.
