Volunteers Wanted for Careers Springboard
The Windsor and Maidenhead executive job club is currently looking for volunteers with managerial experience to get involved in delivering jobsearch presentations and mentoring jobseekers. The job club is funded by a registered charity. It is a free of charge weekly job club for managers who have been made redundant/unemployed and who want to find work as soon as possible.
There is a series of jobsearch presentations for the group, plus one to one help with CVs etc and professional interview coaching is available.
We are looking for more volunteers to help who have managerial experience themselves, plus a sympathy for redundancy. They will be involved in delivering jobsearch presentations and/or mentoring jobseekers and organisation of the activity. Training will be given by an experienced consultant and by similar groups in the area. The benefit to volunteers is the opportunity to widen their own skill sets; to broaden their business network; to help people who are down a hole.
Volunteers need to be able to give two hours three times a year as a minimum, or more time if that is possible. The group meets currently at the Maidenhead Business Exchange and at Windsor Library during the day, however, if volunteers prefer evening delivery, this could be possible.
