Keep Trade Local Windsor 8th December 2009

Join us for the Launch of Keep Trade Local Windsor on Tuesday 8th December.

The Federation of Small Businesses will be launching Keep Trade Local Windsor on the 8th December in conjunction with Business Leads UK, ILoveWindsor.co.uk and Windsor business community. The Keep Trade Local campaign has been running throughout the country and has been a resounding success for many local businesses.

Keep Trade Local Windsor

4pm – 6pm - Representatives of the FSB will be located outside ha ha bar & grill, Windsor Royal Shopping and will be talking about the Keep Trade Local Windsor campaign and how you can join in. That commitment can simply be displaying a campaign poster in your business or shop window, or you can get more actively involved if you choose. The UK economy is driven by small businesses. They make up 99% of all UK businesses and they are the engine for growth and job creation. It is down to all of us to support each other and help each other succeed.

6pm – 9pm – The FSB will team up with Windsor Business community’s Tinsel and Turkey Christmas networking event to celebrate the launch of Keep Trade Local Windsor.
Windsor business community aims to provide a monthly meeting and an online environment where local businesses can meet like minded individuals, grow local business contacts and prosper.

We appreciate businesses close at varying times, we don't mind if you can't make it for 6pm, please feel free to join us anytime during the evening.

Local manufacturers or producers please connect
Especially for this event, we would like to hear from local manufacturers or producers so we can shine a light on them. Local farmers need all the support they can get and it would be great to introduce them to local businesses, retailers and restaurant manger’s who would like to buy local produce wherever possible.

If you would like to know more about the Keep Trade Local campaign see the info below.

• If you would like to talk to someone from the FSB about becoming a member then in the first instance email mary@maryflavelle.com , she is the local chairman and will connect you to the right person.

• If you are a local producer or manufacturer and would like to boost your profile at the Windsor Business Community networking event then please contact Sue at ha ha bar & grill on 01753 770111.

Cost: £10.00 payable on the evening directly to ha ha bar & grill, a receipt will be issued upon payment. *This entitles you to nibbles and a complimentary drink at the bar, which excludes Champagne, cocktails or double measures.

Venue: ha ha bar & grill, Windsor Royal Shopping, Windsor, Berkshire.

Keep Trade Local Manifesto
Our high streets face extinction. Nobody wants this to happen but there is little political will to ensure the future of small businesses. The FSB's Keep Trade Local campaign seeks to stem the tide of business closures, reverse the trend and defend the choice and diversity that customers deserve.

In addition to the Keep Trade Local Manifesto we have produced a number of publications that elaborate on the issues in the Manifesto:

Read the
Post Office Manifesto
Public Procurement Manifesto
Crime against Business Manifesto
Parking ManifestoBusiness Rates Manifesto
A New Approach to the Rural Economy

To encourage the Local Authorities to better help small businesses through the recession the FSB has launched a Small Business Engagement Accord.

South East Accord;
South West Accord;
London Accord;
