Telecommunications company Verizon, based in Reading International Business Park has been named as one of the leading network service providers in Europe.
A recent study by Gartner examines Corporations that have had an annual enterprise network service revenue of at least US $100 million. To meet the criteria, companies needed to provide “voice, data, managed network and value-added services to clients from various countries in Europe, specifically the UK, France and Germany”. According to Gartner, Verizon provides a full range of voice and data services, including application-aware networking and WAN optimisation. Senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Nancy Gofus stated “We believe our position in the Leaders quadrant reflects our commitment to the European market, including the ongoing expansion of our network-based, global solutions portfolio”. Verizon Business deals with nearly 3,400 customer networks in 142 countries and last year Gartner named Verizon Business in the Magic Quadrant for ‘North American Help Desk Outsourcing Services’ and ‘US Network Service Providers’. www.businessinberkshire.co.uk
