Baron Greenback invades The Living Rainforest

Edward Kelsey, the voice of Baron Greenback (cartoon hero Danger Mouse’s arch nemesis) and Archers favourite Joe Grundy hopped down to The Living Rainforest for the launch of the booklet ‘Threatened Frogs of Madagascar’ to co-inside with centre’s year of the frog.

The centre is to showcase their frogs, including the Golden Poison Dart Frog, known to be one of the most deadly and poisonous creatures on planet.

Mike Bungard, author of the booklet stated: “It’s frightening to think that some of the world’s rarest and most beautiful frogs could disappear in a matter of years if we don’t address the issues of habitat loss, climate change and pollution”.

“The booklet is intended to make people aware of the situation facing frogs around the world and will hopefully support efforts to conserve their habitats and secure their future”.

The Year of the Frog is being supported by The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria with Sir David Attenborough also in support of the cause.
