Martin Salter, Labour MP for Reading West, opened Theale Church of England Primary School’s state-of-the-art, multi-functional new playground equipment on Monday October 13th in the presence of teachers, parents and pupils. The new facility combines swings, a climbing frame and a slide.

Network Rail proposals for Reading Station

Rob said, “This is another small but important step in delivering a very important and strategic project which is important to Reading, but is also crucial to the West Country, Wales and the national rail network. Personally I am delighted – this scheme has had to be given the ‘kiss of life’ more than once in the 3 and half years I’ve been an MP, so seeing it come to fruition makes it all worthwhile.”

ENTERPRISE CAR HIRE TEAM LEAVE CAR AT HOME
TO SLEEP ROUGH FOR HOMELESS In April this year local charity Reading Single Homeless Project (RSHP) challenged the town to sleep rough for the night to raise much needed funds for their work housing homeless people. This year’s event at the Madjeski Stadium was supported by a team of 19 people from Enterprise Car Hire Reading. Between them they raised a whopping £2,716.58 in sponsorship. Enterprise has been keen supporters of the charity in the past when a team decorated one of the charity’s properties.
