Organic SEO TIP 1 Ensure that the key phrase you are chasing is in the title, first line of your copy and also the description tag. SEO Organic Tip Two It’s important that real life human beings can understand the words on the page and that it is not written just to impress the search engines. You’ll be doing business with real people not computers so address their needs. Tip 3 to rock your Organic SEO Ensure you link out from your article to at least one other website... ideally half a dozen or more. These contextual links will boost the relevance of your story and so help it fly. A couple of examples of this at work... European Elections On the day of the European elections we published a story titled Who to vote for in the European Elections. We looked at all of the 15 or so parties that were registered for the elections and took a paragraph or 2 from their websites, adding the words and a link for more to our Political Editor website. The story was clicked on by 75 people using the phrase “who to vote for”, on the actual day of the elections... the day people were looking for information... the day that is important. X Factor Yesterday was the first edition of X Factor 2009 and over 9.9 million people tuned in. The nearest other show was the Lottery with 2.3m... the rhythm and our research told us that Danyl Thompson was the main man... lots of people were tuning into his video on the X Factor website. We pushed out a story entitled Danyl Johnson looking good on X Factor at the end of the show and yesterday evening over 150 people searched his name and found our website... now that’s what I call X Factor!
