Oakwood Centre - Award-Winning Conference and Banqueting Venue
The award-winning Oakwood Centre is Woodley's premier conference and banqueting venue. The Centre recently won the Civic Trust Rural Design Special Award, then went on to win a ‘Best Conference Venue’ award from London Business Today.
The official opening of the Oakwood Centre took place 2 years ago. Since then, Centre Manager Cheryl Cardwell and her staff have established Oakwood as the leading multi-use centre in the Woodley area. Being so close to the A4 and M4 means the Centre is ideally located for visitors from London, Swindon, Guildford, Bracknell, and indeed Reading.
Set in acres of parkland, the multi-purpose complex hosts three meetings rooms capable of accommodating 10-60 people and two halls that can accommodate up to 200. In addition, there is a 100 seat auditorium available, with audio visual equipment and internet access to suit all needs.
An outstanding design feature of the Centre is its interconnecting folding doors. The layout means that 200 delegates attending a corporate presentation can be as private and self-contained as a small number attending a workshop or training session.
The Miles Suite – with an unusual rotunda design which allows light to fill the whole room - is used for civil marriages and other ceremonies or as a private dining room seating up to 80 guests.
Whether it’s a breakfast meeting, working lunch, or a three course sit down meal, all business events can be catered for by in-house franchise Ambassador Catering (Henley) Co Ltd. Being fully licensed, the Oakwood Centre is the ideal venue for evening functions, black tie dinners and Christmas parties.
The entire Oakwood Centre is at ground level, with automatic entrance doors and wide corridors. Washroom facilities are wheelchair-accessible, and highchairs and baby changing areas are available.
