• Learn the essentials of car and van fleet management.
• Understand the market for car and van fleets and implications for you and your company.
• Identify the costs of running a fleet and how to control them.
• Develop vehicle choice lists which work for drivers and the business.
• Save money with improved fuel economy.
• Understand the impact vehicles have on the environment and what steps you can take to minimise this.
• Be aware of relevant legislation, your responsibilities under health and safety and with duty of care for employees.
Who is this course for?
This one day training course is for managers and administrators who have responsibility for managing their car or van fleet but have no previous experience or specialist knowledge. Although this is particularly aimed at smaller businesses, this will give a good insight into the essentials of managing a fleet for anyone starting out.
It will give an understanding of the basics of managing a fleet, why it is important, environmental and health and safety considerations and key principles such as monitoring fuel use.
The course is delivered by an expert consultant with many years of experience in advising large and small companies alike. The trainer understands the legal and commercial pressures facing businesses who manage their own fleets.
Places will be strictly limited to 20 per course and allocated on a first come, first served basis with a reserve list.

These courses are delivered by the Energy Saving Trust with funding from the Department for Transport.
