Berkshire Firm Wins Council IT Contract
A Berkshire-based company has been selected by London's Haringey Council to deliver a two-year managed services contract, with the option to extend for an additional three years if the deal is successful.
International ICT solutions provider Logicalis, whose UK headquarters are based in Slough, will help the council to obtain maximum performance from its existing IT infrastructure and achieve optimum value from its future expenditure.
Logicalis will be responsible for managing the council's networks, security and physical data centres, and will provide operational support for Haringey's 7,500 employees and 225,000 residents.
A dedicated team will also provide remote management and monitoring of the council's network devices and servers around the clock from its Slough base.
Lidia Lewis, head of IT services at Haringey Council, commented: "Working with Logicalis we are confident we can achieve a more secure, reliable ICT environment, increasing network performance and service availability and maximising the return on investment from our existing IT infrastructure."
Meanwhile, Logicalis' client manager, Rob Hales, said that the company aimed to ensure the very best value for the council's IT spend, along with a high quality of service.
