Surviving the Credit Crunch and the Economic Downturn

A Seminar for Small and Medium Sized Businesses

24th March 2009
Baylis House, Slough

5.45 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by Buffet Dinner and Networking

In response to the economic downturn, Slough Borough Council has made a commitment to hold events targeting SMEs in the Slough area in partnership with Business Link. The first one of a series of events is scheduled to take place on the 24th March 2009 at Baylis House in Slough.

The aim is to:

  • Raise awareness amongst SMEs of the issues and support available for surviving the recession

  • Promote business support in the form of Business Health Checks, access to funding, Sales & Marketing support etc.

  • Create peer to peer networks to promote Best Practice amongst SMEs.

  • You are invited to the above event to learn more about the support that is available to businesses, to gain an up to date insight into the challenges facing SMEs and importantly to gain some tips on how to overcome some of the key challenges.

Speakers on the day will include Ian Sutcliffe, UK Managing Director for the Slough Estates Group (SEGRO), Brian Smith, Escalator Marketing - a survivor of 2 previous recessions, Eamonn McArdle, Specialist Finance Adviser from Business Link and a Legal Adviser from Harris Cartier, a leading law firm in the Thames Valley.

Registration is at 5.45 p.m. We expect the event to close by 8pm, when a free buffet supper and refreshments will be provided. Networking will continue until 9 p.m.

To book your FREE place please email henrietta.bailey@businesslinkberkshire.co.uk or call on 01753 610 002.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 24th March 2009.

    Yours sincerely
