Queen visits Pinewood studios
Pinewood Studios got a taste of royalty of Friday and not because one of its current themes had a regal theme, the venue was in fact subject to a visit from the head monarch herself.
The Queen - accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh - was at the famous film studios to celebrate the opening of a new entrance.
Speaking the the Sun, chief executive of Pinewood Shepperton Ivan Dunleavy commented that the visit was a great boost for the venue.
"Marking our confidence in the next 70 years of Pinewood and its place at the heart of the UK’s creative industries, this wonderful new entrance will welcome the stars and creators of some of the finest film and television the UK produces," he said.
Located nearby to her much-loved Windsor castle, the visit to Pinewood meant Her Majesty was lucky enough to see a sneak preview of the new James Bond film set.
