Sir Ian Botham was in Slough on Monday to promote a new luxury resort in Spain.
The ex-England cricketer who has recently been knighted by the Queen was at Stoke Park Club in Stoke Poges to support Desert Springs, a retreat that the star himself owns a property in. He commented on the variety of activities available to those who are lucky enough to have a home in the region. "You can do water skiing in the morning and then go snow skiing in the afternoon. Where else can you do that? "They all love Desert Springs because if offers such a variety of sports and leisure facilities that there is to enjoy," he said to the publication. Invited guests were at the event, organised by property specialist The Almanzora Group.
