Business in Slough - Plastics firm 'hits trading targets'

Carlco, the plastics component provider with a base in Slough, has announced that the year began well with trading meeting its expectations.

Furthermore, the company's outlook has not changed since it released the full year results in June, reports Hemscott.

The firm said that sales at the technical plastics sector are outperforming those of the corresponding period last year, with the optical and medical side of the business also showing growth.

Additionally, there has been more demand for precision goods, generally in the form of multiband for automotive purposes, which has led to profits being ahead of the level they were at in the first-quarter of 2006.

During the first-quarter, the firm said that it had continued to invest in a number of new technologies.

Further, the company said that it has begun a rationalisation programme at the Slough venue.

Last month, B&B attachments - based in Newbury - announced that it was going to link up with Carlsberg in order to service keg clamps.
