Leading Software Firm Chooses Slough as European Base
Berkshire has seen the opening of a new high-tech firm, Zensar Technologies, which is basing its European headquarters in Slough.
The IT firm, which has its global base in India but has been operating in the UK for 14 years, provides business software solutions.
Its high profile clients include Cisco Systems and Marks & Spencer, and the new offices firmly mark the company's intention to base its future European operations in Berkshire.
Gurdeep Grewal, who is in charge of Zensar's UK work, said the company "has already delivered outstanding success in the UK and this new facility will allow us to further strengthen our position".
"This latest expansion in the UK emphasises our commitment to the market and to growing what is already an impressive blue-chip customer base," added the firm's managing director, Dr Ganesh Natarajan.
Zensar currently employs almost 200 people in the UK, and predicts it has good prospects for growth.
The company's worldwide operations saw profits up 175 per cent in the second quarter this year, marking Zensar's growing position in the strong outsourcing market.
