Vodafone encourages singing stars of the future |
|||
Vodafone, the international telecoms firm with a base in Berkshire, has seen the culmination of a national search to help talented singers shine.
A specially created sound booth was driven to the company's headquarters and employees had the chance to sing to their hearts' content, Newbury Today reports. Lucy Westbrook, who works for the Communications and Involvement Team at the firm, noted that most people wanted to have a go and show off their musical talents. "There has been a real mix of people who are generally talented and people who just want to go and try and enjoy themselves," she remarked. The booth has already been to seven Vodafone locations around the UK before arriving at the Berkshire base. Vodafone has continued to support live music as part of its company aims with customers of the telecoms giant able to download music from their phones for a small charge and vote for their favourite artists for the Vodafone Live Music Awards 2007. www.businessinberkshire.co.uk/businessinnewbury
