Property Specialists Work Together to Provide Complete Service

Newbury-based Ansells Commercial & Industrial Property Agents have formed an association with local surveyors Mursell & Co, a move that should enable the combined team to provide a truly complete range of commercial property services to their clients.

Paul Enters, the senior partner with Ansells, has been advising clients for over 35 years - 26 of those years based in the Newbury area. His firm typically focuses on property disposals, acquisitions, valuations and rent reviews. Brian Mursell’s practice covers the 3 disciplines of building surveying, quantity surveying, and architecture. By pooling their respective experience in these key areas and working more closely together, the 2 firms aim to offer their clients an across-the-board portfolio of commercial property-related services.

The association has been jointly instructed by Sovereign Housing Association to deal with their property portfolio – a tender which neither firm would have been successful in winning individually. They now manage all Sovereign’s commercial property in the area, with the Ansells team managing valuations, lease renewals and rent reviews whilst Mursells look after maintenance and structure.

Brian Mursell explains “There is a marginal amount of overlap, but there are many areas which each respective firm specialise in - for example, Mursell & Co often deal with asbestos surveys, disability access audits, and party wall surveys. Ansells focus more on disposals, acquisitions, valuations, and rent reviews. By working in association with each other, both firms can offer a wider range of services.”

The team already has years of experience dealing with a wide range of clients from both public and private sectors. Past projects include work on country estates, barn conversions, through to residential property, social housing and schools. The association have advised clients regarding alteration schemes, surveys on older properties, disposals, and acquisitions – including a new HQ building for Sovereign for example - of offices and commercial premises – whether purchasing or leasing.

For more information, please contact Brian Mursell (01635-872000) or Paul Enters (01635-33477).
