Mexican Restaurant Celebrates Top Award
A Mexican food outlet has won the top catering award at the Womad festival, which celebrates the many different cultures all over the world.

Reading Borough Council's Top Gold Al fresco Award went to Henry Barbour and his restaurant, Santa Fe, which was commended by environmental health officers for its high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, food handling, storage methods, and provision of food hygiene training.

Commenting on the festival and Santa Fe's award, Steve Waite, lead councillor for environment and consumer affairs, said: "Regular festival-goers will probably agree that the festival should be renamed the World of Music, Dance, and Food."

"It is comforting that high standards are consistently achieved even in difficult and cramped conditions. Congratulations to Henry and his team at the Santa Fe for leading the way."

As part of the prize, Mr Barbour will now receive a £250 reduction off the price of a stall at next year's festival.
