Waltham St Lawrence Concerts presents THE STAGG QUARTET

7.30pm – 28th February – THE STAGG QUARTET
This is not a high flown, refined, type of concert. The Stagg Quartet, approach their concerts as an inclusive form of music making, playing well known pieces, for example Bach’s famous (Air on a G string), Pachebel’s (Canon), and how about Scott Joplin’s arranged piano rags? All pieces will be light-hearted and entertaining arrangements, for everyone. With schools in mind and the forthcoming GCSE programme, the second half of the recital will consist of Mozart’s well-known Quartet in G Major. The well-known Berkshire players Michael Sullivan and David Bennet (violins), Susan Black (viola) and Neil Charlton (cello) make up the STAGG QUARTET. They have been playing together locally for twenty years, and at international festivals, the most recent being in Majorca. The cost is just £10 in advance (£6 for concessions), or £1 more if bought on the door, and this includes interval refreshments.
