Maidenhead Welcomes Rolf
Young and old should delight in the news that Rolf Harris is coming to Maidenhead next month to take part in the ceremonial switching on of the Christmas lights.

Reported in the Maidenhead Express, the event will take place on November 23rd and will also feature top band The Velvet Hearts - Europe's most subscribed performers on YouTube.

Councillor David Burbage said that he was "absolutely delighted" that the star will be attending the event.

"It is fitting to have a huge household name for this big event in the town's calendar and we thank him for setting aside the time to give our festivities such a great start," he commented to the publication.

The illuminations will be switched on at the Boy and Boat statue and have cost the council £120,000.

Rolf Harris is famous for his numerous TV series, artwork and musical performances.
