Red Nose Day Treasure Hunt in Maidenhead |

This Saturday (17th March) there is a treasure Hunt taking place in Maidenhead Town Centre in aid of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day. Sainsbury’s are one of the main partners Red Nose Day 2007 and will be promoting the event throughout their new store and in the piazza on the 16th March.
Sainsbury’s will be opening their new flagship store on Thursday 15th March 2007 after two years of development. The store opening will also mark the re-opening of the car park that has been closed throughout the development resulting in a loss of parking space for the town centre. The new store is expected to attract many visitors so Maidenhead Town Partnership decided to capitalise on the anticipated rush of shoppers by hosting a Red Nose Day themed Treasure Hunt from the Sainsbury’s piazza to participating stores in the town and back to the Sainsbury’s piazza. The aim of the treasure hunt will be to accustom visitors to the new Sainsbury’s store to the routes from Sainsbury’s into the town centre and increase footfall. How the Treasure Hunt will work There will be a dedicated area set up in the new Sainsbury’s piazza manned by Sainsbury’s staff. Shoppers will be able to pick up a Treasure Hunt card from this area and begin their ‘hunt’ around the participating stores in the town. Participants will then return their cards to Sainsbury’s and be entered into a draw to win prizes donated by the participating stores. Stores wishing to be included in the Red Nose Day Treasure Hunt will need to: • Contribute £25 towards the cost of printing out the Treasure Hunt Cards and promotional posters • Supply store logo for use on promotional material • Supply a prize or prizes for the treasure hunt (minimum value £50) • Agree to promote the treasure hunt in-store • Make a donation to comic relief or arrange a fundraising activity that can be promoted as part of the event www.businessinberkshire.co.uk/businessinmaidenhead
