Games will 'transform' London property
The Olympic legacy is set to transform the London property market, an expert has said.
New builds will take place around the area of the Olympic village and transport links into the centre of the capital are already being improved, chief executive of London Central Portfolio Naomi Heaton commented.
"The long-term Government plan for the Olympic village is for it to become affordable housing for key workers," she remarked.
Investors could take advantage of the properties that are soon to be available, she added, as there will be a greater rental demand after the Olympic Games have taken place.
Ms Heaton also noted that many people are unaware of the changes already happening in the centre of London.
Plans were revealed recently as to the plans for the Olympic village, which is expected to house 17,000 athletes during the event. New schools and hospitals will also be built in east London.
