The Henley Fringe Festival - July 20th - July 26th Henley on Thames The Henley Fringe Festival will promote theatre and drama to the public. It will be open to all applicants subject to a selection process agreed by the board of directors. It will provide theatre artistes (performers, writers, directors, etc.) with a means of showcasing their work to the public and to industry professionals (agents, casting directors and producers), in order to enhance their careers and build their performance techniques.

Henley Regatta

In the summer of 1829 the universities of Oxford and Cambridge held a boat race. After some deliberation, a straight stretch of the Thames in the town of Henley was selected and the race proved so popular it became an annual event. Although the university boat race was moved to a course closer to London, the Henley Regatta was inaugurated in 1839.
