Supporting Businesses in the Bristol and West area
Business in Bristol This website has the goal of providing practical help to businesses in and around Bristol. It does this by: publishing news and comment that will be of interest and value to local business people; spreading the word about local businesses and promoting their work; publicising upcoming business-related events through our calendar page.

The site is part of the BinB network, which publishes a twice-weekly e-mail newsletter to over 3,500 business people in the south and west of England. To learn more about BinB (including how to become a member), look at back issues of the newsletter or to subscribe (it’s free!) click here.

About to invest in IT for your company? Check out this Business Technology article from a recent issue of the BinB newsletter first.

If your business is based in the greater Bristol area and you have something you'd like to share with our readers, just contact us and we'll do our best to get your news out there. Also, let us know of any interesting future events so we can include them on the calendar page.

Finally, we will be working hard to further develop this website over the coming weeks, so please visit us regularly to see what’s new. And in case you're wondering, the bike is a Douglas, manufactured in sunny Kingswood, Bristol.

Business author Peter Jump found that, too often, it’s more a case of bad management than bad ideas. He also discovered that serial entrepreneurs are as liable to making mistakes as complete novices.
