Photo left to right Coucilllor Bob Wade , Patrick Giraud A giant art installation was unveiled on Wednesday 16th July at the head office of Daler-Rowney, the international fine art materials company, in Bracknell by Chief Executive Patrick Giraud. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Bracknell Forest Councillor Bob Wade, staff and customers. Daler-Rowney celebrates its 225th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone it has launched a new brand communication strategy Be Inspired to make the world of art more dynamic, creative, and enjoyable for all of its partners. To reinforce the new strategy all Daler-Rowney staff were invited to contribute to a giant art installation, they were given a blank canvas, colours, brush and a square section of an abstract painting by Julian Dustin to complete. The completed individual squares comprise giant art installations one of was mounted at the head office of Daler-Rowney in Bracknell. Other installations are being installed at regional offices in Wareham, the Dominican Republic and New Jersey. The brand values are Be Inspired, Be Passionate and Be Creative, which aim to inspire customers, with the emphasis on Daler-Rowney’s heritage, reputation, innovation, passion and quality. Patrick Giraud said ”I am pleased and proud to celebrate the 225th anniversary of our company, we are an old business, indeed a very old business, and yet this business is a rejuvenated lady! This has been made possible by the energy from all our staff in all our offices in Europe and North America. This is a unique opportunity to thank you all for your efforts especially during the last three years. Your efforts are not in vain as the lady is back in style! Our three new brand voices Be Passionate, Be Inspired and Be Creative demonstrate that the lady is getting younger and younger. To demonstrate Be Creative I am delighted to unveil this art installation created by our staff.” Councillor Bob Wade said” It is a great honour to be invited to speak at your 225th anniversary, this an amazing and unique achievement. As Bracknell Forest’s Small Business Champion I visit a very wide range of companies throughout the Borough. The clear message from all these teams is that they all started with a unique idea, born of a clear vision, a clear mind and a clear desire to succeed. In 1783 the Rowney Company was established in central London selling perfumes and wig powder and later re-focused on producing artists’ colours with notable success, supplying artists such as Constable and Turner. Continuing for two hundred years Rowney was sold to Daler in 1983. The company has continuously re-invented itself and has had to work through some difficult times, in response to an ever-changing market place. Daler-Rowney has maintained and built upon its reputation as “The Artist’s Choice since 1783” and continues to be trusted by artists worldwide. Who would have thought that a perfumed wig would give birth to a world-leading organisation, which has already spanned over two centuries. Sincere congratulations to Daler-Rowney on your 225th anniversary – a well deserved and unique achievement.” Photo left to right Coucilllor Bob Wade , Patrick Giraud |
