Local firm in deal with plant company |
|||
The data warehouse appliance firm Netezza has announced that its Performance Server application has been selected by FloraHolland.
In addition, the plant trader will replace its existing server system with the new radio frequency identification product in order to track important stock and flower trolleys. Netezza, which has a base in Berkshire, stated that increased trading with other companies boosts the firms overall standing. Vice president of European operations at the firm Dave Kloc said that the new systems should enhance business performance at FloraHolland. "Our appliances continue to prove popular in innovative organisations where data centres are struggling to keep pace with terabytes of constantly growing and changing data, as well as with demanding business users that need to be able to analyse it in real-time," he commented. Data will now be able to be processed within a single unit for storage, Netezza claims. The firm also has offices in Toronto and Japan.
