Bracknell Takes Starring Role in World Cup Collaboration
Bracknell could play a crucial role in getting the nation behind England during the World Cup in Germany, after two local men saw the opportunities that the tournament offered, according to the Bracknell News.
Like several others, Chris Wilson from Warfield and Justin Fry of Wooden Hill decided to attempt to pen the definitive England anthem for the summer, but unlike most the pair managed to secure a record deal for their ditty.
And while many would have chosen exotic footballing locations such as Brazil's Rio de Janeiro, or Rome for the location of the soccer song, the pair decided to keep it local and film the video in Bracknell.
The song itself is a reworked version of "Ebeneezer Goode" - hit song for the band Shamen. With a little adaptation of lyrics and cheeky twist, the new version is called "England Win With Ease".
The promotional video has all been filmed in locations around Bracknell town centre, including service yards, Bracknell and Wokingham College and The Discount Warehouse.
