A Bracknell Mum is set to visit the White House - not surprising, really, since she's the step-mother of the man who's going to be its next inhabitant. Barack Obama's step-mum lives in an end-of-terrace house on a modest estate in Bracknell. Kezia Obama can often be spotted walking around the town but now she's set to fly to the US for her step-son's inauguration.

The clock was ticking…Tux deployed, pocket watch wound and placed…wedge of dosh in the pocket…I was ready, fighting off a sweat waiting for my loved one to complete her last finishing touches to her dress and accessories…We were ready, we had 30 mins…….it was 9 miles to Windsor, we had a full tank of gas and we were wearing sun glasses……… hit it!!

Be Inspired, Be Passionate and Be Creative

A giant art installation was unveiled on Wednesday 16th July at the head office of Daler-Rowney, the international fine art materials company, in Bracknell by Chief Executive Patrick Giraud. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Bracknell Forest Councillor Bob Wade, staff and customers. Daler-Rowney celebrates its 225th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone it has launched a new brand communication strategy Be Inspired to make the world of art more dynamic, creative, and enjoyable for all of its partners.
