Please join us on the online channels you use and we’ll reciprocate by following you and as of next week we’ll be spending half a day a week tuning in to what you have to say, extracting the good / interesting / fun bits and publishing articles on our main binb site, generating SEO content that will be enjoyed by the search engines and could well cause someone out there to knock on your door.

Our Business in Berkshire LinkedIn Group has close to 500 members, help us out, tell one of you LinkedIn contacts in Berkshire about this group and suggest they join, this will take us over 500 before Monday. Marvellous!

When I called into LinkedIn this morning I noticed a tweet from Sharon Connelly saying how her YouTube Channel had had nearly 65,000 views, excellent work. It’s all about girly makeup and clothes and that’s what makes it rock, business is a bit dull for most of us so we tend to get fewer viewers. What most impressed me was the number of subscribers, over 660 people are following her channel, all ready, desperately waiting for the next episode to make themselves god smakingly gorgeous ! Check out binb channel below, we have subscribed to Sharon’s channel.

Recently in a joining the dots, maximising exposure way, we created a dedicated binbnews channel on YouTube and the first footage shot was a parade by the Household Cavalry in Windsor. We’ll be shooting and adding more binb news over the coming weeks so if you have a YouTube account then pop along and follow us, we’ll reciprocate. You can access via http://www.youtube.com/binbnews or http://www.madeinberkshire.co.uk

If Twitter is your bag, a post by Ian Hendry last week showed that Twitter is racking up far more searches than most of the engines out there, only Google is currently keeping it at bay in 2nd place. Our Twitter channel is http://www.twitter.com/binbnews or http://www.berkshirebusinessnews.co.uk

For ease we have pointed http://www.businessinberkshire.com at our LinkedIn Group. And Facebook has adopted the http://www.berkshirebusiness.co.uk domain.

http://www.businessinberkshire.co.uk gets you to our main site and please, digest the front page of BinB and consider the membership opportunity.

http://www.binbnews.co.uk opens the door on our mobile channel, perfect for when you are out and about.

It is useful to have domains pointed at your different social media profiles and groups as it eases the way. YouTube and Twitter don’t really need it as your channel should reflect your brand as best you can (there is a limited on letters in your channel name). But Facebook and LinkedIn have unique urls for the groups which aren’t very easy to remember, so having a logical domain pointing at the space makes sense.

TOP TIP: I have simply taken domains I already had registered and pointed them. If starting again it would be best to pick a shortish name and check its availability on the channels you intend to use before deciding the final domain for your company.

Obviously the best way for you to help yourself is to have your own BinB membership @ only £20 + VAT per month.
