"sponsor THE shed" campaign starts bidding war!
Within hours of launching our latest marketing campaign we had 3 bids to "sponsor THE shed". Today, 4 people have joined in the bidding on this excellent business opportunity.
With our website figures indicating around 100,000 visitors a month, this is the same as most premiership clubs! Imagine having your logo and a link on everyone of our web pages for 12 months ! Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and Newcastle United are all feeling a little nervous that our "sponsor THE shed" campaign may reduce their chances of a major sponsorship deal! Yeah right!! Jon Davey is a typical small British business ... sorry, can we use British or is that in breach of some European treaty ... best check that ed! Already the bidding has reached £30.05 for a single year’s sponsorship and as is typical of any business, rather than waste a ton of resources on PR and websites before we had any income, we waited for the bid and then made a management decision to invest guaranteed future earnings in a logical url ... the url chosen needs to represent the mission directly and so we strategically chose ... www.sponsorTHEshed.co.uk Jon Davey when asked what he thought our industry leaders would make of this responded, “Lord Sugar has been getting a hard time off the Federation of Small Businesses for some of the comments he has been making lately. I’m sure he would like such an initiative ... you have to think smart in today’s market place ... it just keeps getting faster and you have to be in or around the news when it is happening ... when the story is hot!” “I did ask Thomas Power of Ecademy what he thought of Lord Sugar’s comments and the FSB’s reaction and he blogged “My old boss (1986-88) must stay (and learn).” What a brilliant one liner and a perfect Tweet!” We’ve pointed the new domain at the news story on jondavey.co.uk as the aim of this campaign is to boost our business ... directly through sponsorship but also indirectly by businesses seeing the foresight we are using to hang our campaign on a topical story. If you like what we’re doing and would like to up the auction value then that would be just fandibilytastic! And if Lord Sugar is looking in £25k is a quarter of what you have to pay those young apprentices ... bargain ... snap it up Sir !! Make YOUR bid ... In fact, it is a similar amount to what a mate of mine paid for a almost new Maserati ... the economy still works for those with cash!! |
