Celebrate St George's Day with Miss England

There is a call to arms for England's gentlemen to step forward and claim their right to a day of celebration.
Our website www.stgeorgesday.com received over 26 million hits in 2008 and 1 MILLION people voted to have 23rd April as OUR national holiday. St. George is the patron saint of England! His emblem, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England! Adopted by Richard the Lion heart it was brought to England in the 12th century. St. George's Day is on April 23rd, so, in a sense, this is England's National Day but unlike other countries, England does not have a celebration to mark this occasion! This could and should change! St. George is the Patron Saint of England, and St. George’s Day, on Thursday, April 23, is England’s national day. The St. George’s Day All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) is hosting a reception and a series of media events at the Houses of Parliament on St. George’s Day.
