Zeroing in on Waste - RE3 |
Shadow Environment Secretary to Visit Smallmead Recycling Centre
Reading East MP Rob Wilson will welcome Shadow Secretary of State for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs to Reading on Thursday. Mr Ainsworth will campaign with local election candidates before visiting the Smallmead Household Waste Recycling centre in south Reading. Rob said “I am delighted to welcome Peter to Reading and to take him out canvassing in my constituency. The environment is very important to the people of Reading and there are many streets where the switch to fortnightly bin collections has simply not worked. However the Smallmead Recycling centre is an example of good practice in partnership with two neighbouring Conservative authorities and I am sure that he will find it interesting.” For further information, contact Rob Wilson MP on 07973 834035. WHO: Peter Ainsworth, Shadow Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs WHAT: Visit to Smallmead Household Waste Recycling Centre WHERE: Island Road, off the A33 WHEN: 2pm, Thursday 17th April www.re3.org.uk |
