Reading Evening Post’s Giving Tree Appeal
Another Star Contributes to the Reading Evening Post’s Giving Tree Appeal

Ian Waite, star of Strictly Come Dancing has become the latest Reading resident to contribute to the Reading Evening Post’s Giving Tree Appeal.

Whilst Mr Waite was hosting a charity masterclass at Pulse 8 Health Club, in Mole Road, Sindlesham, he donated a gift to the tree at the centre.

He said: “I think The Giving Tree is a great idea and I fully support it. I am only too happy to donate a gift.”

Recently the Mayor of Reading Chris Maskell launched the Evening Post’s annual Giving Tree Appeal, which offers Christmas presents to deprived children.

Stars from Coronation Street, Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully and Samia Smith, who plays Maria Sutherland, have also shown their support when the both picked tags from the tree when the Christmas lights were switched on at the Broad Street Mall.

People can pick up a tag from the tree, buy the present, write their own message on the tag and return the present, unwrapped.

The main Giving Tree is in Broad Street Mall. However, branches can also be found at Nirvana Spa (& Pulse 8), Madejski Stadium Megastore, Sainsbury’s in Winnersh, Microsoft, BG Group, Morgan Cole and Prudential.
