Yesterday we finalised details on an idea we've been working on for some time. Hannah has been working with Reading Business Club producing content for their web space on Business in Berkshire. This has helped her get connected / networked quicker than would have been possible had she just gone networking in the usual way. This concept of ramping up someone's connectivity and helping them learn new skills is something that lies at the core of Business in Berkshire, from the early days when people sent in their word docs about events they were holding and us turning them into web pagesto send asnews to anyone who cared to listen. We are launching the Apprentice Programme on St George's Day, 23rd April, at The Arches Club in Reading. Tickets are £20 this week but will go up next week in an Easy Jet type of way... So don't delay book to day! Any of our existing members can take advantage of one of our presentation spots or networking tables. Simply send an email to apprentice@businessinberkshire.co.uk and tell us what you would like to present, we will then make a decision on its relevance to this event and invite the lucky few to take part. Berkshire & Chiltern Life will be there to educate us. Here is one of the few truly successful publications in Berkshire. They sell 10,000 copies each month, they sell advertising in the magazine and their average reader has an annual income of over £72,000! Chris Clegg from Equity Entrepreneur will be giving us an insight into how it is for those unfortunates who are not sure what to do with their millions! Sorry for the lateness of the First Thursday Breakfast story, but many of you will be aware of its place in the Berkshire networking calendar. For those that weren't, my guess is there will be a similar event next month, not sure when, but probably the First Thursday is a good guess! These used to be run by my old pal Mary Flavelle (less of the old you cheeky upstart I can hear her saying right here, right now!) Rumour has it that the Mary Flavelle Express will be steaming through Berkshire sometime soon... I want an exclusive Mary! Someone said the other day that my opening copy was getting longer, so I better shut up and let you review the news today! Today's Featured News
