Prince Charles Royal Seal of Approval A volunteer at Easthampstead Park and Sandhurst schools was recently awarded the Royal Seal of Approval by Prince Charles. Alison Mihail picked up the national Volunteer of the Year honour at the Prince’s Trust and Royal Bank of Scotland Celebrate Success Awards held at the Odeon in Leicester Square. Over 1,500 Prince’s Trust volunteers and media celebrated Alison’s 12 years with the Prince’s Trust. Her award was a lovely carved wooden bowl. Alison’s achievements include the development of young people, working with them on skills such as motivational skills and confidence building. She has also taken a youth group of 40 to Romania in order to renovate primary schools and their facilities. She has raised £500,000 for the charity which includes organising the annual 10K Legoland Fun Run. Alison, who is the trust’s area board chairman for Berkshire, works with troubled youngsters from all walks of life, including children in or leaving care, those who have struggled at school, and youths who have been in trouble with the law.
