Duchess speaks at Ranelagh's Speech Day |
|||
The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson was a guest at Ranelagh School's Speech Day this week, where she spoke to students about the importance and value of education.
Postponing an engagement in the US to be at the event, the Duchess spoke to the prize winners about their awards, Bracknell News reports. The Bracknell school was commended by the Duchess, as was headteacher Kathy Winrow. She was reported by the publication as saying: "I have heard so many success stories coming from the school - Mrs Winrow runs a very tight ship as my ex-husband would say!" The Duchess clearly enjoyed her visit, as she asked if she could come back to the school for another event: "Could I not come back to open the new building if there's no one else available?" High Close School in Wokingham was visited by another Duchess recently - the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles. www.businessinberkshire.co.uk
