Windsor may once again be the scene of a royal wedding next year.

Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips may well wed his fiancee in the famous surroundings of Windsor Castle, the Ascot, Windsor and Eton Express reports.

Following in the footsteps of other royals, Mr Phillips is to tie the knot with Canadian girlfriend Autumn Kelly at St George's Chapel.

Although plans have not yet been confirmed, it is thought that Prince William could be asked to perform the best man duty.

Mr Phillips does not have a royal title at the request of his parents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, nor does he perform royal duties, yet he is tenth in line to the throne.

He is also the Queen's first grandchild and it is thought the Royal Family will be attendance, alongside the monarch herself.

The engagement to Ms Kelly was announced in July this year and unless she renounces her Catholic beliefs, it is thought Mr Phillips will lose his line in the succession to the throne.
