Princess 'declined' to dance |
|||
Princess Beatrice of York nearly took part in the BBC talent spectacular Strictly Come Dancing, it has been revealed.
The princess, who was educated at Upton House School in Windsor and then later at St George's School, Ascot - where she was head girl in 2006 - is apparently a big fan of the show. As reported by the Daily Mail, she nearly accepted an invitation to do the show, but instead decided to go travelling. A friend remarked to the publication: "She was desperate to do it but decided to go ahead with her gap year as she plans to start university next year and wanted some time out before studying again." Now aged 19, the news source notes that she is currently in Argentina with friends as part of her gap year travel plans. This follows news that Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York and Princess Beatrice's mother, was approached to appear in the US version of the series. www.businessinberkshire.co.uk
