Family Day Out
On Sunday we had a great family day out.
It started with Max and me going for our morning stroll, a little earlier than our usual Sunday outing, as we had a busy day ahead.
Back home, a quick bath and down to the office to add a few more building blocks. 10:30a.m. and we all piled into our reliable Vauxhall Zafira from AA Clark’s! (our other car went pop again Friday!!)
We drove past a property in Sunningdale, considering our options, on the way to the World Match Play Championship at Wentworth. What a great place for kids, just need the odd £2 million for one of their smaller properties!
This was my / our first experience of watching professional golfers. The weather was perfect and so was their game. How great to get it 95% right all the time. Practice, practice, practice… dedication, determination and days of hard graft with a destination in mind. The winner gets £1 million for a few days work and a lifetime of preparation.
We walked in, on the first round, from the 14th to the 18th. What an enjoyable bite size experience… then on to the Harvester for lunch and their all you can eat salad… marvellous.
An afternoon nap for me, waking up just in time to see Man U get their butts kicked by Arsenal and it wasn’t a dream!
All this followed by an evening being entertained by Michael Parkinson at Windsor theatre in aid of The Caron Keating Foundation. Another Yorkshire man abroad.
What a great place Berkshire is and how lucky am I to have a family that allowed me an afternoon snooze on the sofa!
