Why You Should Enter the RBWM Business Awards?
If you are tendering for an international contract and you mention that you have won, or been a finalist for, a Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Award - of whatever description - then it will probably increase your chances of winning the deal.

Think about it logically. When you hear RBWM you instantly focus on the Royal bit. People abroad, and many in the UK, will make an assumption of some connection to the Royal family. Progress this assumption and the head of USAinc will already have a knighthood if he treats you right!

Complete hogwash but then life today is based on illusion and the reality is to maximise any advantage to the full. I say that, but I'm very guilty of not grabbing at everything that comes my way. But let’s take a look at this year.

I have been invited to take part in a number of events and the actually currency cost has been minimised due to our ability to promote these key events to not only our regular readers but also an ever increasing audience of web visitors. People are finding us by doing random searches on the internet and ending up on one of our many thousands of pages.

This year we are currently involved with, in date order:
Memcom conference
B2B Thames Valley exhibition
Thames Valley Innovation conference
RBWM Community and Business Excellence Awards 2006

And we are happy to be associated with other events in the calendar if the organisers want to say hello.

So, getting back to why you should enter this year.

For a business, the time and resources that go into entering the awards mean it has to:
• Address a business need
• Be achievable
• Come in on budget

You should enter this year’s RBWM Business and Community Awards because:
• Being a finalist or winner will help you in tendering processes
• You only have until the 16th October to enter, that will put many off and therefore maximise the chance of any entrants being drawn up on a shortlist
Entry is free

Business in Berkshire can help connect you with marketers / copy writers who can make your two page entry copy “sing” while you focus on your core business.
