Reading FC Ex Players Association
Steve Coppell was the main guest and speaker on Thursday 13th July at Renaissance Hotel at a dinner to raise money for 6 seats for the ex players of Reading Football Club.
John Madejski is famous for holding on to his millions and so the ex players need to pay their own way. And, give him his due, he has plough millions in to the club and secured them a chance in the Premiership, so I think it’s fair to say he’s done his bit for the city and the fans.
Reading FC Ex Players Association needs to raise funds for 6 season tickets… so if you are of a generous nature and would like to chuck in £10, £20, £100 into the pot, Richard Wickson would love to hear from you.

I was very impressed with Steve Coppell. I’ve never heard him speak before and he answered questions, for over an hour, posed by ex players and fans who made up the 150 dinner guests.
We were invited by The Reading Chronicle who sponsored the dinner and I spoke with a lady who looks after the fan club. She said he puts lots of time into the forum, always patient and happy to answer everyone’s questions.
The Cat put his hand up and asked the question he’d been dying to ask. And he was pleasantly surprised at Steve’s answer.
Rest assured Reading fans, the club is in good hands and I for one recon they will be staying up next year… better go find me a bookie!!
