Worn on the 4th July!
Yesterday I was true to my NRG… joining Clayton for his “Presenting Naturally” seminar at NRG Networks monthly networking lunch in Swindon.
Clayton’s excellent workshop saw me revising the start of my 10 minute presentation… more from him in the next week or so...
My revised format kicked off with, “Would you like to communicate with over 3000 business people twice a week?” & “Would you like to see your company name in lights at the top of Google”
Obviously this was just what the 50 luncheon attendees needed to help them drift off to sleep after a great spot of lunch!
In fact it not only grabbed their attention but gave me energy and the space to put my case… I kept it brief and to the point… 4 minutes in I introduced my first testimonial from the back of the room, Peter Jump… this was neatly followed by Olu from the right… and from the left wing, our striker, Quinney stepped up to the plate, crossing the presentation back to me with just one minute to go…
I could attempt to bring out two more points but could see that I was better off focusing my energy on one final key point and drove it home… GOAL!
This was my first presentation in Swindon and I wasn’t sure how the audience would receive some stranger from the East… I needn’t have worried… they’re a friendly lot over in the West of Berkshire. Petrol’s under £1.95 and a pint even less… so they should be jolly happy!
They liked the shirt… and some wanted to know where I found such a work of art… Island Cruises my friends… go book your trip today!

A big thank you to Kim and Dave for an excellent networking event… I’ve been to 2 or 3 or their events in Reading but Swindon is their home turf… the room was full of regular NRG Network lunch attendees who were there to enjoy the lunch and catch up with business contacts. There was real NRG in the room and I would recommend popping along to an event near you soon…
