Everyone’s a Winner
The summer is here… most of us are feeling up beat and willing to lend a helping hand. Saturday saw me and my gang at St Edward’s School Fate where Dominic Smith was a winner!
Ali has spent the last two months working on St Edwards school fate. Much of that praying that it would all turn out right in the end… thanks to a good team of people on the committee and a bunch of dads only too willing to be told what to do on Saturday, so they get a free pass for Sunday’s big match! Everything went to plan…
They raised over £3000 which is brilliant in my book… bet our school is better than your school… my wife better than yours!!!
I personally thought I’d raised £122… Ali reminded me that there was £10 float… but that’s still over £100!! And how did I do that…
We ran a tombola for our BinB footballs! 50p a ticket, 3 for £1… roll up, roll up, everyone a winner! Well, if they spend £2 and didn’t win I couldn’t have the parents going away in tears!! One lucky winner came back for more as he saw his first ball exit playground left onto the school roof! We’ll use them next year…
The picture shows the luckiest kid at the party and he goes to Trinity St Stevens… Dominic Smith invested £1 for 3 tickets and pulled three tickets ending in 5! What a player… he won a ball for himself, one for his sister and then my guess is dad will pinch the other one for the office.
We had a great day… I had a great day… we usually pop along for an hour or so then I feel the need to get back to my shed and its peace and harmony! It was brilliant just watching the world go by and, from a business point of view, getting back to basics…
Reminded me of that sales competition I help my regional manager win back in the late 80’s when I was a Foodservice rep for Nestle… do you want to hear my story? Send me an email saying… tell us your story Jon and I’ll oblige next week…
