POETS Day Business Lunches
When I was a young sales rep there was a tradition, I believe nationally, of Poets day… “Push off early, tomorrow's Saturday”.
Today it would seem, talking to those that employ people, that this tradition has been built on. "Phone office early, tomorrows sunny" seems to be more like the norm!!
Anyway, in our little office, Fridays are quiet so I figure, let’s use them more productively.
Creating informal networking events that start at 12:30pm and run through to a natural close. No agenda, no formal presentations, no need to turn up every month… but you simply book your seat and turn up on the days you choose.
To kick things off we’ll have 4 themes that rotate through the Friday’s at different locations. We’re charging £20 per head to cover food and all the water you can drink!
BinB members are invited to set up POETS day lunches in their local area and we’ll publicise them through the newsletter… pick your subject and find a friendly location that has parking, food and room to mingle.
The first one off the block is going to be run by Mary Fraser on 23rd June at Palmer Arms, Dorney. The theme is "Women in Business". That doesn't mean that the event is only open to women.
We are currently talking to other venues about other themes but I wanted to get the show on the road, so book early to avoid disappointment!
